My name is Ryan Head and I am 25 years old. From 2014-17 I studied Animation at the University of South Wales Cardiff campus and ultimately graduated with an upper second class (2:1) honours degree. I am an aspiring concept artist, illustrator and writer, and my main areas of interest include character and background design, concept art and script-writing. Whilst I do have a keen interest in animation, I am also interested in a number of other industries including publishing, graphic design, video games and live-action film-making. On this site I have collected a number of examples of my work, both personal and from my university projects, and through this work I aim to demonstrate a wide range of various techniques and styles.

During my degree I familiarised myself with a wide range of software including Adobe Photoshop, Flash, Premiere, InDesign, CelAction and TVPaint. I work both traditionally and digitally, and aim to continue to develop my skills in the future as I build up a portfolio.
